Rain + Sunshine = Rainbow on a Sunday

So here are a couple of pictures from Sunday, both on my A710 IS. The isn't as clear as I would like but I can't expect any more considering I still haven't gotten the camera fixed (the autofocus doesn't work and it won't zoom out once it zooms in). Oh yeah, and both were taken from my window in university towers which isn't exactly spotless so that added to the artifacts as well.

My caption for both is, "The End of the Rainbow, So near Yet So Far"

These two pictures were taken in London. The top one during my summer trip there and the second one during spring break earlier in the year

I think a decent caption for the above picture would be
"Man, I wish I could turn my head to see if the other guy is still there"

A Random Experiment with Shutter Speed

A lamp at my place in Delhi (seen above) inspired me to be random and try out the shutter priority mode (Tv) on my camera. All the pictures are taken with a Canon A710 IS

The one above is at 1/100 of a second

This one is at 1/400 of a second.

And the last one is the highest shutter speed my camera has (I think)......1/2000 of a second..... i thought it makes for interesting pictures.

A Glimmer of Hope

In August 2006, during the Global Young Leaders conference, I visited the United Nations at New York. I respect this organization for always trying (though not always succeeding) to improve this world that we live in. For the last 60 odd years. its efforts and ideals have offered a glimmer of hope for a better tomorrow for our planet, and I wish it continues to do so.

The Home of the Beautiful Game

I'm an Arsenal fan and I feel they play the best football in the WORLD. So during my last trip to London I had to visit their stadium and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. Just imagining the sound of the audience while walking through the tunnel out onto the pitch gave me goosebumps.

Glass and Metal, A Match Made in Germany

This is a picture taken in 2006 inside the German Bundestag (Parliament) building. I came out of the Bundestag to find that this was the same as the touristy postcard pictures that they sold in the souvenir shops. So hey, I saved a Euro.

This blog is intended to be a place for me to put up and share the view of the world as I see it through my own eyes and through my camera. I'm hoping to upload the first batch of pictures by the end of this week so stay tuned.

P.S. Something broke inside my current camera, so it won't zoom out and the autofocus doesn't work either so I haven't taken pictures for over a month *tear*
